Dust with a dry microfibre cloth, wipe with a barely damp cloth, and never let water stand on the surface. That is 95% of oak care.
Twice a year, apply a thin coat of hardwax oil with a lint-free cloth, leave it twenty minutes, then buff off the excess. Avoid silicone polishes and all-purpose sprays — they build a film that traps dirt and is difficult to remove.
